Jack Haire specializes in teaching swimming to triathletes, children 8 and up, competitive age groupers, and adults of all levels and abilities.

Qualifications: Jack competed for the Furman University Swim Team in the late 70′s and UGA Swim Team in 1979.  Jack is currently the Assistant Swim Coach for the Brenau University Swim Team and conducts all dry land training. Jack is a nationally ranked age group triathlete (All American, USAT) in the Olympic Distance and Xterra Off Road triathlons. 

 

            Training Philosophy
 
I don't adhere to just one method of training or training philosophy that would limit your potential or my best judgement. 
 
Every workout needs to have a purpose with structure. 
 
I believe in executing a  6-8 week periodized plan based on your goals for optimum results.
 
80% of training is at lower intensity. 10% is at moderate intensity and 10% is at high intensity.

Experience - I have made virtually every training mistake (sometimes more than once) in my 30 plus years of training and racing that may help prevent injury to you and limit your potential.

 I actively  consult with a network of other trainers  and  other coaches that  I respect who are experts in their respective fields. 
 
Research and Continuing Education -
